Caf? Caf

From Taiwanxifu, 7 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

One of my work?colleagues goes out to lunch with his wife every week.? On Thursday each week, he marks the appointment in his diary and makes the time to meet his wife for lunch.? Last week I was having one of those crazy weeks filled with meetings and reports.? But I decided take a leaf our of my colleague’s?book and make the time to step out for lunch with Mr Taiwanxifu.? It was so restful and enjoyable, and helped me conceptualize some work (and life) issues in a new light that I... Read more

I assumed that the faint knock on our slightly ajar door was from the housekeeping lady. It was a man's voice I heard however, and he only spoke Spanish to Shervin. I was able to make out a few words which included "se?or" and "comida". The mere mention of comida, the Spanish word for lunch and also food, made me jump off the bed.The invitation was timely. We were just about to head out for a meal. The owner did not speak a single English word. While Shervin could only say gracias. The owner of... Read more

Review: Delsey Fiber Lite

From Nina Fuentes' Just Wandering, 3 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

My backpacks have taken a backseat last year. In my major trips last year (Guam, Morocco and Kuala Lumpur), it was my bright red luggage that accompanied me. It’s not that I’ve stopped backpacking; more like traveling to places where walking around in t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops is not the most practical thing to do. I love the mobility I get with my backpacks, but... Read more

Film Essai ? Another Day by Studio Revolt

From KhmerBird, 3 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I heard about Studio Revolt quite a while. The first video I have watch was “Why I write” from Kosal Khiev. The ideas and the way they make the film give me a very good taste. This is something I have waited for such a long time. Studio Revolt will give the world a new look to Cambodian film industry through their works. The company was founded by a couple Anida Yoeu Ali (Muslim Khmer) and Masahiro Sugano (Japanese). I like the idea of creating story from ordinary people. It was... Read more

Macarons Galore

From I Love China, 3 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Mint, chocolate and mango flavoured macarons If you follow my Twitter feed, you’ll have seen that I bought some Ladur?e Macarons while I was in London. They’re expensive and indulgent, but when, like myself, you only visit once a year, the cost doesn’t really come in to it. I think they were about 1.60 pounds each for something the size of a golf ball. Anyway, over the new year holiday in Shanghai, I was exploring Hong Kong Plaza and discovered a lovely coffee house called Le... Read more
