Fruhlingsfest

On Sunday-the S.O. and I went to a the Stuttgart Spring Fesitval in Bad Cannstaat. ( Where the Porsche company is headquartered). Took the train which thus allowed consumption of mass quantities of German Beer. What's not to like about that' On the way there, we first stopped in Stuttgart and walked down Konigstrasse-where they were having an animation festival at the Schlossplatz:   After a quick walk around the plaza it was off the to the festival: For some reason the Germans seem... The Liars Club

Is that group of increasingly reprehensible bloggers who make up the "professional right wing blogosphere". (Membership names listed below).  Besides the fact that they generally have their facts wrong-they are just about universally a group of douchbags loathsome group of people to be around. Their blogs are essentially interchangeable, fact free-and in general-poorly written and edited. So imagine my surprise when , this guy paid them a visit last week:   NEW YORK... Read more

Still here-just busy

From Far East Cynic, 1 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I have been meaning to post-but by the time dinner and some prowling get done, it is late and I don't have the time. The relationship posts are still in work, but they will have to come when I get back. I also get to hear the guns-last night the big guns were firing. And you could hear it. A big BOOM-then machine gun fire. They shoot them all the way up to midnight. That surprised me a lot. And today-when I was walking from lunch, I heard the familiar BRRRRRP! of a 30mm Gatling Gun.... The trouble with the tea party

My Canadian counterpart has been writing some really insightful posts about the morass that is the GOP these days.  You should head on over to his site and read his stuff. First off-he points out expertly what a complete idiot Allen West is, and how once again-for a supposedly educated officer-he has very little accurate knowledge of his own nation's history. Of course I expect nothing but untruth from the poster child-but the Canadian Counterpart does an expert job of ripping his... Read more

This makes me happy!

Rupert Murdoch has finally been recognized as the Sleazeball he is. Hopefully his hot looking Asian wife can console him when he loses his company. Murdoch “turned a blind eye and exhibited willful blindness to what was going on in his companies and publications,” the House of Commons Culture Committee said in a report today that split lawmakers along party lines on critical findings. “This culture, we consider, permeated from the top throughout the organization and speaks... Why I disagree with Mr. Jacobson

From Far East Cynic, 2 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Ok, I admit it-I snapped. When I followed the Memorandum link to Mr. Jacobson's  blaming of Obama for "losing" the Middle East, I lost my temper. And with good reason too-I expect better logic and a better perspective on the history of the region-and an understanding of the peoples that lie within. Sadly, Mr Jacobson showed neither. And probably with good reason. His post had nothing to do with the reality on the ground in the Middle East-but everything to do with finding yet... Read more

It is so nice to live in a country where there is decent train service again. Thus I was spared spending 4 hours on the Autobahn driving over to Bayreuth today. Instead I could take a train-sleep and read, and then pick up a car for a 30 minute drive to the place I am now-an out post in the middle of nowhere. Grafenwohr is a big post-in a small town. Work is work though-and so its time to go  bed to get ready for tomorrow. Read more

Taking a little detour.

From Far East Cynic, 2 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

And I'm back. Have been back for a couple of days-but tomorrow I am off again. Just time enough to do laundry. This time the travel is within Germany and I will be out of pocket for a couple of weeks. I do plan to post some though-and I intend to use those opportunities to write about relationships. For two reasons really: one, its on my mind right now-as I read a book called The Happiness Project and two, I want an excuse to right some explicitly erotic prose. If you are prudish-or that is... Who lost China'

From Far East Cynic, 3 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

William Jacobsen is a worthless piece of shit. In his latest post on his blog-which attracts such high quality readership as would read that other font of conservative wisdom, Andrew Breitbart, he has decided to blame the entire Middle East problem on Obama. In essence-he is re-running the "Who lost China'" argument-only this time he is saying we "lost" the middle east. Like it was ever ours to lose. And to argue that Obama "lost" the Middle East without... Read more
