Snapshots: Breakfast in Tagaytay

From Filipina on Flip Flops, 4 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

It was the first weekend of 2012. I was with a bunch of work friends and we had celebrated a birthday Friday night, and were at the after party early Saturday morning. It was two, maybe three a.m., and wasn't it in an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" when they said nothing good ever comes from making any decisions after 2AM'But you know what' It wasn't so bad, spontaneously deciding to drive to Tagaytay to have breakfast after a night of partying. You just need friends who are willing to go... Read more

Photo: Reality

From China Expat And Travel Blog, 1 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I was looking for a more upbeat photo that captured a bit of that Spring Festival snap, crackle and pop. But when I saw this photo it grabbed my attention and reminded me of the excesses of the season (which this year has been pretty much a month-long Western-Chinese celebration hybrid). The Nanning-based photographer, Sun Suri, is (I believe) our first Chinese featured in this spot. Check out her photostream for a fantastic collection of street photography. roro schedule between Santander in Cebu and Sibulan in Negros

From Seeing the world on a shoestring, 4 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

30 minutes. That's how long it takes now to cross Tanon Strait from Cebu to Negros! Before the new route was opened, the only way to cross if one drove his own car or motorcycle from Cebu to Dumaguete in Negros was via Bato-Tampi. Ro-ro from Bato-Tampi takes 40 minutes then 30 minutes drive from the port of Tampi to Dumaguete. Since December last year, a shipping company has been making the route way shorter. Actually, travel time has been cut to half with the opening of Liloan-Sibulan... Read more

From Far East Cynic, 4 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

For probably the fiftieth time-I have been accused of hating women, Seems we had a dissatisfied customer with my previous post.  There is actually a serious counterpoint to be made to the rather disgruntled commenter-but I've got to make it at a later time this weekend. I've got some things to do right now: Like drink one of these:   And then perhaps have a go with member of the Nihonjin set::   Oh-and here is a little reading material, to put the previous post in some... Nomadic Video 4: Streets of Saigon

From Nomadic Experiences, 4 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Here's a music video of a few clips I took while walking around Ho Chi Minh City. This motorcycle crazy city ?makes crossing the street an adventure in itself. I even took a ride on one of it, as a cheaper way of going around the city compared to taking a cab. Pardon the fuzzy editing, I just made the most of the few video footage I took. The music used is "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys. Read more ? Read more
