Thailand Photos - Nan

From We love Phuket, 5 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Yes, we love Phuket, but the rest of Thailand is not bad either. Some years ago, when I had time and no kids, I made a tour of the country. One of the first stops was Nan, which is a rural town with lovely scenery and very few tourists. I rented a bike and drove around the surrounding countryside, through the rice fields and looking for small villages where I might be able to buy some textiles. Here's a few photos (sorry about the quality, these are scanned from prints):• Hotels in... Is someone up there listening' As from now, a good part of the West coast of Phuket can be seen in high resolution too. The new image covers everything from Laem Singh beach (just North of Kamala) up to (almost) the Sarasin Bridge. Great! Picture below shows one of my favourite quiet beaches - Naithon.Hope the rest of Phuket appears soon!(add) Just noticed lots of other changes - large parts of Phang Nga Bay, Koh Yao, and much more in the area in high res, too! Wow, this is nearly as exciting... Read more

Weather was kind enough not to rain as my daughter and I took part in the "Phuket Photo Walk", part of a worldwide photo walk that encourages people to get out and snap their home towns. We gave her a little Sony Cybershot for her birthday. I did the walk last year - see here: Phuket Photo Walk 2009. Report and photos from yesterdays walk online now: Phuket Photo Walk... Read more

Phuket Airport Hotel

From The Pucket Hotel Blog, 4 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I have always meant to feature the Phuket Airport Hotel somewhere... This is not a normal hotel, it has only 10 rooms around a pool, is located less than 1km from Phuket International Airport and a minutes walk from Nai Yang Beach. The location is quiet (yeh, it's near to the airport - but the reviews I read on Trip Advisor suggest that you don't hear the planes, and I have been to Nai Yang Beach many times and you really can't hear much), the place is built to accommodate wheelchairs too. Some... Read more

Cheap Hotels in Brisbane

From Australia Blog, 1 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Brisbane is the bigger, business city in the state of Queensland that acts as more of a hub for travelers looking to get to Fraser Island or the Gold Coast. However, there is a charm to be found if you decide to stick around in this city. Cheap hotels in Brisbane can range from near $100 to $165 AUD for a mid-range place, but these are more likely to be scattered around the outskirts of the city. You’re best bet is to search out a room that is near either a good bus or train stop to get... Read more
